Združenie Art Aktivista sa po tretí krát vrátilo do rómskej osady v Sečovciach a spolu s arteterapeutkou Karin Andrášiková. z o.z. Mládež ulice zrealizovalo projekt Letný maliarsky workshop 2017 pre sociálne vylúčené deti. Maliarsky workshop je kontinuálny projekt, ktorý podporuje sebarealizáciu detí ich zapájaním do spoločnej tvorby umeleckého diela a arteterapeutických procesov. Aj tento rok združenie (v zastúpení Tomáš Rafa, Janka Pohanková a Marek Halász) vytvorilo kreatívny priestor vyplnený maliarskými aktivitami a happeningami.
V priebehu siedmych dní deti pomaľovali dve obrovské plátna (10 x 10 metrov), na ktoré kreslili pastelom a maľovali akrylovými farbami. Súčasťou maliarského workshopu bola i hra s experimentálnou architektúrou a improvizácia v komponovaní drevených konštrukcií rôznych tvarov a veľkostí. Do happeningov v otvorenom priestore osady boli zapojení okrem detí a mládeže aj ostatní obyvatelia. Uprostred osady vznikol niekoľkodňový tvorivý umelecký ateliér. Novinkou boli plátna menších rozmerov, na ktoré deti preniesli kúsok svojho imaginárneho sveta a prejavili nesmiernu dávku tvorivosti. Týždeň vyvrcholil vernisážami počas, ktorých sa v centre osady obyvateľom vystavili hotové plátna a deti spontánne vytvorili svoj sochársko architektonický objekt.
Letného maliarskeho workshopu 2017 sa aktívne zúčastnilo v priemere 70 detí a mládeže rôznych vekových kategórii.
Priebeh projektu je zaznamenaný na sérii fotografií a video filme, ktorý bude prvý krát zverejnený na výstave v Galérii Koňiareň v Trebišove. Projekt ,,Letný maliarsky workshop 2017“ z verejných zdrojov podporill Fond na podporu umenia a Ministerstvo kultúry Slovenskej Republiky. Projekt podporil univerzálnymi farbami BALAKRYL a ubytovacie priestory poskytlo Centrum voľného času v Sečovciach.

Art Aktivista association came back to the Romani settlement in Sečovce village for the third time and together with art therapist Karin Andrášiková from Mládež ulice (The Street Youth) association realised the project titled Summer painting workshop for socially excluded children from the Romani settlement Habeš in Sečovce. The painting workshop is a continual project that seeks to support self-realisation of children by involving them in the making of an artwork and art therapeutic processes. The association (represented by Tomáš Rafa, Janka Pohanková and Marek Halász) made a creative space full of painting workshops and happenings. During seven days, the children painted two large canvases (10 x 10 m). They tried drawing with pastels and painting with acrylic colours on large- and small-size canvases. The painting workshop also included a play with experimental architecture based on the improvised composing of wooden constructions of all shapes and sizes directly with the inhabitants and children in the open air of the settlement. The experimental architecture, happening and painting workshop formed a week-long creative art studio directly in the settlement. What was new this year were smaller-size canvases; the kids transferred a piece of their imaginary world onto the canvases with an immense amount of creativity. The peak of the week were the openings; the canvases together with a spontaneously made oversized architectural object were exhibited in the centre of the settlement for its inhabitants to see. Around 70 children and youths of different ages took part in the summer painting workshop 2017. The project is documented in the series of photos and the video film.
The activities were realised with the financial support of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic and the Slovak Arts Council. The project was supported by BALAKRYL – universal colours and the accommodation was provided by the Leisure Time Centre in Sečovce.
