Vizuálny umelec Tomáš Rafa so Združením Art Aktivista zrealizoval Letný maliarsky workshop #3 pre deti z rómskej osady Habeš v Sečovciach na východe Slovenska. K spolupráci si tentokrát pozval aj arteterapeutistku Karin Andrášikovú z o.z. Mládež ulice. V priebehu siedmych dní spolupracovali výtvarníci, dobrovoľníci a aktivisti Združenia Art Aktivista s deťmi zo sociálne vylúčených skupín priamo v osade.
Deti počas týchto dní rozvýjali svoju predstavivosť a kreativitu maľovaním obrovského plátna (10 x 10 metrov) a kreovaním geometrických kompozícií z drevených konštrukcií kociek. Plochu plátna zaplnili víziou života ich budúcnosti a v duchu “otvorenej formy” Oskara Hansena tvorili geometrické tvary do podoby nadrozmerných abstraktných sôch a architektúry v ich lokálnom prostredí.
Približne 50 detí sa zúčastnilo tvorby spoločnej nadrozmernej maľby, ktorá vyústila do happeningu. Vyvrcholením workshopu bola vernisáž počas ktorej obraz vyvesili na priečelie bytovky a geometrické konštrukcie osadili do centra osady.

Visual artist Tomáš Rafa, together with the civic association Art Aktivista, carried out the Summer Painting Workshop #3 for children from the Roma settlement Habeš in Sečovce, eastern Slovakia. This time, he invited art therapist Karin Andrášiková from the NGO Mládež ulice to collaborate. Over the course of seven days, artists, volunteers, and activists from Art Aktivista worked directly in the settlement with children from socially excluded groups.
During these days, the children developed their imagination and creativity by painting a giant canvas (10 x 10 meters) and creating geometric compositions from wooden cube structures. The surface of the canvas was filled with their visions of future life, while in the spirit of Oskar Hansen’s concept of the “Open Form” they built geometric shapes into oversized abstract sculptures and architectural forms within their local environment.
Approximately fifty children participated in the creation of the collective large-scale painting, which culminated in a happening. The highlight of the workshop was a public opening, during which the canvas was hung on the façade of an apartment block and the geometric constructions were installed in the center of the settlement.
